F.E.F.R

My name is Sharon and I am a Kenyan student. F.E.F.R is my Fashion Escape From Reality while I am stuck in University. I have always had a passion for fashion, that is without meaning to sound corny, and I hope to share it with you.

I am utterly in love with this outfit, this look, everything about it is classy. The use of african prints in modern day trends, works extremely well. I think its a great use of african print in a fashionable modern twist..LOVE IT.

Backpacks are the way forward! I recently went to Paris and I have never been more grateful for buying this backpack. Its cute, classy and made my life so much easier. Its hassle free, goes with everything, comfortable and simplifies getting around.  I recommend it for anyone planning on going on a trip, which may require a good amount of walking. Get yourself a cute and classy back pack, you wont regret it!

There’s something about this photo that I love, I think it is its african inspiration. However, despite all the clashing colors and pieces it somehow works and looks good. Its great to see the use of african prints in more mainstream fashion. It shows we’re finally being acknowledge internationally away from poverty and humanitarianism.

I am utterly in love with these Reem Acra dresses. The detailing of the lace is impeccable in emphasizing the shape and curves of the women body.  If you’re a curvaceous woman like me, the white, red and cream dress would be perfect for emphasizing our curves. Whereas if you’re more petite and slender the red lace dress, the blue, the pink and white dress would be great for your body. These dresses are perfect for an evening event, or an evening night out or even a prom. If only some of us were that rich.

For me this picture represents all the latest trends among the black community in terms of hair and style. First the braids. Braids have made a comeback as seen from Solange to Beyonce. These box braids are a stylish version of braids and can easily be worn up or down. However their downfall is the weight. With such braids you have to be careful how much you play with your braids in order to prevent them from pulling your hair too much, as well as not keeping them in for too long in order to not damage your hair.
Secondly the turban/headscarf style has also seen a rapid come back, away from the bedroom to the street. I personally love the turban, if you scroll down to my previous posts in February and November, I uploaded some pictures of my self in different headscarf styles. They are great for lazy hair days when you don’t know what to do with your hair and just want to cover it up.  They are also great to cover up messy front edges of weaves or braids, as well as being worn just as a fashion accessory.Box braids and head turbans are definitely trends worth getting on. They are classy and beautiful when done right. Perfect for the modern day stylish woman.
